Blinds
Forgot to post - we placed our blind order before they went on chrissy break and we did go with the colour from the earlier post - with double roller (inc escreen) on front 2 windows and the panel glides over sliding door - so hopefully that means we wont be the house with newspaper for weeks or anything - but having paid the deposit they said the order them and then keep them onsite till installation...so one main thing on the list - after SS is back I will see about getting some concreter onsite for quotes for driveway and big side of property. so that that can be lined up ready to go fairly soon too...
December
ok so dec saw fix stage complete on about 20th dec when I took these pics - front of house still hasn't been rendered, but garage is finished and plastered as is alfresco.
Since these pics paint has been done inside - they worked over chrissy week, I have peeped in windows but not taken any pics as yet, looks all painted inside and pretty happy with how it looks though its hard to tell through windows but colours appear right - the walls are calcium which is a cool white (darker than ceilings) and doors skirts etc are magnesium which is a pale grey. so looks very stark at the moment which is fine should hopefully come together well with floor covering etc.
wont know much of what's scheduled till SS is back but will go past most days and have a look at whats happening...I believe other trades are booked for while he is away too.
so excited for 2014 - will be busy but not like its any different :P

Cabinetry
lots of Pics
from top to bottom
1. Laundry (maynot look impressive but there was a method behind my changes, space for wm and alfresco drinks fridge)
2+3. Kitchen (need to chat about rhs overhead cabinets, not quite lined up with bulkhead unsure if that's plaster problem or cabinet problem)
4. Powder room - this room gets no natural sunlight and you can tell the difference but quite happy with how this looks)
5+6. Master ensuite, with close up view of the bench, Vulcan stone (colour name) laminate benches and powder white cabinets throughout house except kitchen which will have essastone in French black.
7. Kids bathroom.
other bits and pieces coming along slowly, still waiting for hebel to be fixed out front before house render can be finished

Security, Plaster and Stairs
Security system is up onsite following some unsavoury cup day antics of local teens :(
Stairs are in but couldn't get a good pic, but happy to be locked out as it means so is everyone else!
Cornice is up - unsure if upstairs has been fully repaired but void platform is down so I believe 2 of the windows have had their arketraves installed too.
Below is kitchen and office boths pics taken from outside still
and here is blind colour I think we will go with...boring blinds but double rollers on front of house so we can let light in and have privacy still, and panels for sliding door
base coat of render has been finished apart from garage and front wall which still needs hebel looked at due to window issue...

Lockup
lockup was on monday - Inspection went well, 2 issue's which SS has been helpful with and considering how well he addressed ones from frame inspection I have no doubt it will get sorted.
here is a pic from Saturday - our chippee J was just finishing off the gable façade
Scaffolding was meant to come down tomorrow but unfortunately melb weather has interfered big time as it has rained pretty much consistently since Monday...but it will happen soon enough, and now that inspection went well inside work should be happening soon :)
insulation first...then plaster yay!

Update - week 10
Sorry Mum been busy xxx
Second storey is wrapped - solar hot water unit has been installed, all bottom storey hebel is up including alfresco piers.
they had a hoist there today lifting hebel panels up to scaffolding was cool to see, lock up carpenter has been in straightening walls etc and I think waterproof plaster has been delivered as there was some blue sheeting stacked in laundry...but yesterday there was heap of workers on site which was cool and exciting to see :)

Scaffolding for second storey Hebel work is up
First floor hebel is 90% done now they were doing an alfresco pier when I was there at lunchtime - only 1 small section near the balcony wasn't up - and unsure now if they will be able to install that bit with the scaffolding up - will be there for about 3 weeks from what I was told, second storey should be wrapped on Monday and hebel finished off up there about a week or so later.

upstairs windows in
Went past this arvo upstairs windows going in and carpenters pulling down the alfresco and garage trusses (which weren't meant to be put up when they did them as it means scaffolding cant be put up...a mistake we knew about a few weeks ago) hebel on the bottom storey still only half finished am unsure as to when scaffolding is due to arrive but think the first floor hebel needs to be finished first.
Getting there slowly

Wrap + Hebel delivery
Today saw bottom storey mostly wrapped went I went past, and we saw the hebel truck arrive as we left so we went back around to take another pic so here is a bunch
in order
1. PT STudio looking through wall to family
2. master bed
3. Out front
4. Out Rear
5. Hebel delivery :)
work is happening on our next door neighbours site too - am assuming they will be in before us, aswell as another one across the street, which on leaves 3 other sites in our direct vicinity and hoping most are started/finished by when we are too selfish I know but would mean less trucks parked out front etc...
